I don't mix business and pleasure. Being an introvert with a very extroverted business career, I cherish the close relationships that I have in a personal capacity. Thankfully, I have had hundreds of great clients throughout my career. I pretty much grew up in the media world and have had a very successful stint to date. Keeping my work relationships separate from those of my personal life works well for me. It allows for me to be professional in my work space and have a place outside of that to unwind privately. One client crept so deeply into my heart that I had to bring her into my private circle. That lady's name is Christelle.
Christelle set up a business meeting with me while I was working at a radio station during 2011. She wanted to conceptualize a campaign that was extra-ordinary and out-of-the-box because of the nature of the brand that she represents. It was her engaging and fun attitude toward what some would classify as tedious tasks that made me like her instantly. We created some amazing campaigns together, and wherever my career took me, Christelle and I found a way to work together.
I have the utmost respect for her business acumen and also the deepest admiration for the type of person that she is in every aspect of her life. Businesswoman, wife, mother, friend. She encompasses so effortlessly what most strive for their whole lives.
We became very good friends over the years, and we make a point of keeping in contact. Our dates together are always filled with laughter, new adventures, and the type of stimuli that are simply the best brainwaves.
