"It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." - Madiba
My friend, Rucita, shares a birthday with the late and beloved Nelson Mandela. For her special day, she embarked on a wonderful initiative to sponsor 100 children from the James House community with “Madiba Covid Family Packs”. These hampers consisted of groceries, hygiene items, winter warmers and learning materials. As the pandemic continues to unnerve South Africans, unfortunately it is the poor who are hardest hit. Thus, in times such as these, one can only imagine the severity of the situation for those already living in poverty. With so many regulations, physical contact is restricted and events are prohibited. We could therefore only spread awareness digitally. Sponsorship was secured through numerous sources and the goods were safely delivered to those cherished children. It never ceases to amaze me as to what kind and generous humans there are in this world who truly are selfless. What a blessing indeed. May we continue to feed the beauty of the Seva seed.
