Of the above sixteen personality types, the INFJ (Introversion, Intuition, Feeling, Judging) is the rarest, which is my result. This is the Diplomatic Advocate type and is defined as follows:
INFJs are creative nurturers with a strong sense of personal integrity and a drive to help others realize their potential. Creative and dedicated, they have a talent for helping others with original solutions to their personal challenges. The INFJ is a private sort, and is selective about sharing intimate thoughts and feelings. INFJs are guided by a deeply considered set of personal values. They are intensely idealistic, and can clearly imagine a happier and more perfect future. The INFJ feels an intrinsic drive to do what they can to make the world a better place. INFJs want a meaningful life and deep connections with other people. They do not tend to share themselves freely but appreciate emotional intimacy with a select, committed few. Although their rich inner life can sometimes make them seem mysterious or private to others, they profoundly value authentic connections with people they trust. INFJs often appear quiet, caring and sensitive, and may be found listening attentively to someone else’s ideas or concerns. They are highly perceptive about people and want to help others achieve understanding. INFJs are not afraid of complex personal problems; in fact, they are quite complex themselves, and have a rich inner life that few are privy to. They reflect at length on issues of ethics, and feel things deeply. Although they want to get along with others and support them in their goals, they are fiercely loyal to their own system of values and will not follow others down a path that does not feel authentic to them. When they sense that their values are not being respected, or when their intuition tells them that someone’s intentions are not pure, they are likely to withdraw.
I found this exercise to be extremely insightful as no one has ever explained the essence to me at such depth before. A lot of what was said, rang true and I now understand why, at most, I am indifferent to what is considered to be the norm or popular. This is only one small facet of one’s self to investigate further - after all there are so much more to learn about an individual.
Other interesting, yet totally random, information about me includes:
I was born in Observatory, Cape Town, at 00:45 on the Taurus-Gemini cusp, which is called the Cusp of Energy. This means that I am a Taurini on the Western Zodiac chart, however, I identify fully as a Taurus. My birthday is 19th May and my co-ords are:
Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Chiron: Taurus
Rising: Pisces
Moon: Aquarius
Jupiter: Leo
Saturn and North Node: Virgo
Uranus and Midheaven: Scorpio
Neptune: Sagittarius
Pluto: Libra
Part of Fortune: Gemini
On the Eastern Zodiac chart, I am a Goat with a Life Path number of 5. My birthstones are Emerald and Rose Quartz and my birth flower is the Lily of the Valley. I am the baby of the family and was a late lamb. I am South African and a Cape Town native. I have lived along the coast all of my life and can’t imagine not living close to a beach and mountains.
Academically, I studied Marketing Communication and specialised in both, Media and Brand Management. Recently, I have acquired a Digital Marketing, as well as Copywriting for Cloud qualifications as an extension of my base course. I happend to be more artistically inclined and have a deep passion for the arts. I love to sing, dance, act, write and create - specifically poetry and my blogs of course. I thrive on learning and am always doing a course of sorts. At the moment, I am studying Yoga and my current goal is to specialise in Nidra, Bhakti and Ayurveda. I am also venturing further into the digital marketing sphere and am engaging in more specialist courses; all of which are proving to be consuming most of my spare time these days.
Immediate short term ventures include completing all my Yoga trainings and ultimately teaching at international retreats. I aim to continue to build my blogs and collaborate with more amazing brands that resonate with me on a personal level. My long term aspirations include finding a life partner, getting married, having a family and publishing a few books.
And, that’s me in a "not-so-tiny" nutshell.
