EJ's profession involves through-the-line activities across a diverse portfolio of brands, and has proven to be a savvy business woman. She has conceptualized strategies that have been successful on a national and international scale and has headed up media, marketing and sales departments. "My entry into marketing was as a media buyer and once the foundation was strongly laid, it was a natural progression to implementation, media planning, strategy, business development and client servicing roles.

The sphere in which we engage is ever-changing, thus I thrive on remaining current by keeping abreast of disrupting innovative models and the key touch points throughout the user journey to loyalty. Recently, ethnography has been tapping my interest; as I enjoy delving into the psychographic mix of what makes people tick on a qualitative level," she states.

Additionally, EJ is not only avidly involved behind the scenes but is also active in front of the camera. She has interviewed Shaggy, Hugh Masekela, Danny K and Mango Groove, to name but a few. She has appeared on a soap opera, won a reality TV show and made an appearance in movies, series and commercials too. Throughout her adolescence, she was formerly trained as a contemporary and street dancer at the acclaimed Artscape Theatre and has been cast in music videos as a result. She is also a provincial gymnast and dance eisteddfod special gold winner. For many years, EJ was the lead pitcher for a top softball team and says that she can still throw a mean curve ball. You may have seen her on billboards for the FIFA World Cup campaign. "I love soccer, and I was over the moon when we won the bid," she smiles.

In her spare time, she enjoys blogging, vlogging, philanthropic causes, yoga and says that her favorite hobby is supporting her beloved soccer team. "I never miss a game and the chance to cheer!" she laughs. In closing, she conveys her mantra, "In my field, I have come to realise that fate favours the fervently fearless."
